1. Local-First Design and Data Ownership

Quire is a local-first application. Your notes and files are synced and stored solely on your own Google Drive. You are the sole owner of your content. We do not have access to your notes on our servers, as we do not operate any custom backend servers.

The core functionality of Quire is provided free of charge, with no time limits and no advertisements.

We build Quire with privacy and stability as primary goals, but the app is provided "as is" and "as available." We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. We highly recommend maintaining your own encrypted backups to prevent data loss.

Because all data is stored locally on your device and synced via your Google Drive, we are not responsible for any data loss, corruption, or damage resulting from hardware failure, OS updates, app bugs, or any other cause. It is entirely your responsibility to maintain regular backups.

5. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless S A Herdev Anish from and against any and all claims, damages, obligations, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from: (a) your use of Quire; (b) your violation of these Terms; or (c) your violation of any third-party right, including any intellectual property or privacy right.

6. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of India, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. You agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India, for the resolution of any disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms or the use of Quire.
